Who we are

Trauma T’s originated from the shared experiences of two friends. Myself and my now partner found solace in humour as we navigated our individual paths through mental health challenges and therapy. Our jokes about the traumas we faced served as a coping mechanism and allowed us to confront our struggles with a lighter perspective.

Growing up in an environment marked by abuse, particularly at the hands of my father, I couldn't shake the belief that if there had been less stigma surrounding mental health, especially concerning men, perhaps things could have been different. While his actions were inexcusable, I couldn't help but wonder what might have been if he had received the support he needed. Since those early years, I've been an advocate for men and their battles with mental health. Society often imposes unrealistic standards of strength upon men, forcing them into silence and masking their emotions. While progress has been made, there's still much ground to cover and work to be done.

Trauma T’s serves as a platform to unite a community of individuals enduring difficult times, reassuring them that it's okay to not be okay. Through humor that resonates with our shared experiences, Trauma T’s aims to create a comfortable and safe environment where people feel understood and supported. There's no shame or judgment in embracing our humanity, and through Trauma T’s, we aim to remind everyone that they're not alone in their journey.

With Trauma T’s, we not only aim to provide a supportive community for individuals facing mental health challenges but also strive to make a tangible difference in men's mental health advocacy.

Through the sale of our apparel, we seek to generate funds to support various initiatives and programs focused on men's mental well-being. By purchasing from us, customers not only acquire clothing but also contribute directly to the funding of essential resources, such as counseling services, support groups, and educational workshops tailored to men's mental health needs.

Every purchase serves as a step towards breaking down the barriers that prevent men from seeking help and accessing the support they deserve. Our commitment extends beyond just raising awareness; we actively work to allocate funds to organizations and projects that promote mental health awareness, destigmatize seeking help, and provide accessible resources for men in need. Through Trauma T’s, we strive to make a meaningful impact on the lives of men struggling with mental health issues, fostering a future where no one feels alone or ashamed to seek support.
